February 14th, 2023 - International Office

A new year of Academic Marathon Challenge starts right now.

Registration for the AM 2023 opens on February 14.

The National Academic Marathon & Continental Qualifiers Round will be held in June on the school campus. Please refer to specific dates for different countries.

The Continental Academic Marathons 2023 will be held in 2023 summer (July & August) online.

The International Final Round will be held online on October 23-29, 2023.

January 28th, 2023 - International Office

The International Academic Marathon 2022 was held on January 28th, 2023 online with 694 finalists from 27 countries and regions.

The participants took the material-based objective test for the final round in two hours (specially formatted for online) on January 28th, 2023 to answer the 100 multiple-choice questions, which test their abilities to learn and understand new knowledge of advanced academic theories, and won both individual and team awards at the AM 2022.

Thank you for supporting AM 2022 international Round, and we appreciate that all of you have successfully completed examinations with strong academic rigor.

March 18th, 2022 - International Office

A new year of Academic Marathon Challenge starts right now.

Registration for the AM 2022 opens on March 18th. The specific dates for the Campus Preliminary Round, State/Provincial/Regional Round and National Final Round of each country are determined by the coordinators of each country.

The International Final Round will be held online in January of 2023.

November 20th, 2021 - International Office

The 2020-2021 International Academic Marathon Final Round was concluded successfully on November 20th, 2021.

With the consideration of epidemic prevention and control, the AM 2021 international Round was held online and has attracted 679 participants from 26 countries.

The participants took the material-based objective test for the final round in two hours (specially formatted for online) on November 20th to answer the 100 multiple-choice questions, which test their abilities to learn and understand new knowledge of advanced academic theories, and won both individual and team awards at the AM 2021.

March 1st, 2021 - International Office

A new year of Academic Marathon Challenge starts right now.

Registration for the AM 2021 opens from March 1st to May 14 th. The Preliminary Round in China will be held on May 26th, while the National Round will be held in August. The specific dates for the Campus Preliminary Round, State/Provincial/Regional Round and National Final Round of each country are determined by the coordinators of each country.

The International Final Round will be held online in November of 2021.

January 31st, 2021 - International Office

After a special year of 2020, our International Academic Marathon Final Round was finally concluded successfully.

With the consideration of epidemic prevention and control, the AM 2020 international Round was held online and has attracted 601 participants from 26 countries.

The participants took the material-based objective test for the final round in two hours (specially formatted for online) on January 31st to answer the 100 multiple-choice questions, which test their abilities to learn and understand new knowledge of advanced academic theories, and won both individual and team awards at the AM 2020.

Oct 30th, 2020 - International Office

Considering the pandemic across the world, the International Final Round of Academic Marathon in 2020 will be virtually online. After careful discussion and evaluation at the board meeting, we are officially announcing the dates for International Academic Marathon 2020 Finals.

- Collegiate Division, International Final: January 2nd - 3rd, 2021

- Secondary Division, International Final: January 30th - 31st, 2021

March 10th, 2020 - International Office

We are fully aware of outbreaks of the novel coronavirus on a global scale. We guarantee that the health and safety of our students, advisers, judges, volunteers, staff and the broader Academic Marathon community is no doubt our first priority. We will keep watching out the situations and evaluate the proper actions we need to take.

Considering the current spreading of COVID-19 internationally, the Academic Marathon International Office has decided to postpone the 2020 International Academic Marathon (super marathon) to no earlier than September 1st. The specific dates will be further discussed and probably land in September or October.

Also, the international office has received notifications from the Academic Marathon China Committee about the delay of the China National Final Academic Marathon. The China National Final Academic Marathon will be postponed to July in summer (specific dates TBD) while the venue stays unchanged (at Duke Kunshan University). The China preliminary round of Academic Marathon will be conducted in May and June as most schools are expected to re-open in April.

Due to the virus outbreaks in North America, Europe, and other regions, academic marathon events in other countries are still to be further determined. We will work closely with local organizers and coordinators to make the best decisions for students, advisers, and schools.
